Last Revised: May 12, 2016

Your privacy is important to us. At Blipd we believe in a few fundamental principles about privacy:

Below is our Privacy Policy, which incorporates these goals:

OVERVIEW

This privacy policy (“Policy”) applies to the Web site and mobile application owned and operated by Blipd, Inc. (“Blipd”, “we” or “us”) located at www.blipd.com (the “Site”) and the Blipd Service accessed through our mobile application, collectively the “Service”. The Policy is designed to tell you how we collect and use personal information (as defined below) so you can make an informed decision about using the Service. Please read this statement before submitting any personal information to us. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 13 years old and you consent to the information collection and use practices described below.

If you have questions or concerns regarding our privacy policy or practices, please contact us at info@blipd.com

WHAT IS PERSONAL INFORMATION

The term “personal information” means information that specifically identifies an individual (such as a name, address, telephone number, mobile number, e-mail address, photograph, video or other account information), and information about that individual’s location or activities, such as information about his or her use of Blipd, when directly linked to personally identifiable information. Personal information also includes demographic information such as date of birth, gender, geographic area and preferences when such information is linked to other personal information that identifies you. Personal information does not include “aggregate” information, which is data we collect about the use of the Service or categories of Service users, from which any personal information has been removed. For example, the fact that 387 people are logged into Blipd in a specific geographic area at a specific moment in time is aggregate information, not personal information. We collect aggregate information for a number of purposes, including helping us understand trends and user needs so that we can better consider new products and services, and tailor our existing Service to user desires. This policy in no way limits or restricts our collection of aggregate information.

WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

When you create an account in the Service, we require an email address (we may send you an email to verify) and username. You may also choose to add a picture that represents you within the Service and add your real name. Some of this information will be visible to the public, but your email address will remain private. You may modify any of your information at any time via settings in the Service.

Personal information may also be collected in a number of ways when you use the Service. We may collect certain information you voluntarily provide to us which may contain personal information. For example, if you register for the Service, email us, or submit content via the Service, we may collect your name, photograph, video, text, location or demographic information that you provide. In addition, from time to time we may collect contact or other personal or demographic information you provide in connection with your participation in surveys or promotional offers.

The Blipd Service will automatically collect location information from your mobile device and/or your mobile carrier. When you use the Service some information may also automatically be collected, such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address, your operating system, the browser type, the address of a referring web site, and your activity on the application and through the Service. We treat this information as personal information if we combine it with or link it to any of the identifying information mentioned above.

DISCLOSING PERSONAL INFORMATION

Be aware that personal information you share with others may be forwarded and information you post to the Service may become publicly available due to normal use of the Service. For example, the existence of your Blipd account, information you post in your Profile, or any other interactive areas, or other information you provide for the purpose of being shared publicly may potentially be viewed by anyone. Your posting to such public areas of the Service constitutes your consent to share such information publicly. It is your responsibility to adjust privacy settings in the Service to ensure that your personal information is shared in accordance with your wishes.

If you remove information that you posted to the Service, copies may still remain viewable for a period of time. The Service may provide you with the option of sharing some of your activity to other social media applications (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, etc.) When you share information with other social media applications, this information may be viewable by the communities on those Services and may be discoverable by search engines.

If you believe another user of the Service has posted information that violates your privacy or is otherwise offensive, you must inform us at info@blipd.com and we will take all reasonable efforts to identify and remove the offending content.

DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES

We also may disclose personal information when we are required to comply with the law (e.g. a lawful subpoena, warrant or court order); to enforce or apply this privacy policy or our other policies or agreements; to protect our or our users’ rights, property or safety; to protect our users from fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful use of our Service; or if we believe that an emergency involving the danger of death or serious physical injury to any person requires disclosure of communications or justifies disclosure of personal information. In addition, information about our users, including personal information, may be disclosed as part of any merger, acquisition, debt financing, sale of company assets, as well as in the event of an insolvency, bankruptcy or receivership in which personally identifiable information could be transferred to third parties as one of the business assets of the Company. We will communicate this transfer to you in a timely manner prior to the event so that you can determine whether or not you’d like to continue using Blipd.

LOCATION INFORMATION

In order to operate properly, the Service needs to determine your location. Whenever you use the Service on a mobile device, we use location information from your mobile device (e.g., latitude and longitude) to tailor the Service experience to your current location (e.g to show you a list of nearby blips, friends, etc.).

Your location information is NOT shared with others unless you specifically authorize it. You may choose, at your sole discretion, to share your current location via the Service to other users of the Service. Content you share in the Service may be time stamped and other users could use that information to infer when you were at a specific location. You should only share your location with people you know and trust not to inappropriately convey your location to others.

WEB SITE INFORMATION

We may also automatically collect certain information through the use of “cookies.” Cookies are small data files that are stored on a user’s hard drive at the request of a Web site to enable the site to recognize users who have previously visited them and retain certain information such as customer preferences and history. If we combine cookies with or link them to any of the personal information, we would treat this information as personal information. If you wish to block, erase, or be warned of cookies, please refer to your browser instructions to learn about these functions.

Like most website operators, Blipd collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Blipd’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Blipd visitors use its website.

If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 13 has provided Personal Information to Blipd through this Service, please contact us and we will endeavor to delete that information from our databases. If you happen to observe inappropriate content on the Service, please contact us directly or, where provided, use functionality in the Service to report the content for us to investigate and potentially remove at our sole discretion.

ANALYTICS

We may use analytics software to allow us to better understand the functionality of our Service.
